Masterpiece: Bellona by Rodin, 2025

Homage to the Masterpiece:

A central theme in my work is the exploration of what defines a masterpiece. By reimagining historical masterpieces with elements of fictional decay and corrosion, I challenge the notion of permanence in art. Utilizing techniques such as Three-Dimensional Composition, this piece incorporates assembled fragments with layered structures, creating the illusion of accumulated timelines and evoking a sense of preserved history.

Through this approach, I question how contemporary art will be perceived in the future and whether its meaning will remain fixed over time. This process serves as a metaphor for cultural transformation, highlighting the fragility of artistic legacy and the impermanence of societal values. By deconstructing and reconstructing familiar imagery, I invite viewers to reconsider the evolving nature of artistic interpretation and the shifting narratives that define cultural heritage.

Masterpiece: Age of Bronze by Rodin, 2025

Three-Dimensional Compositions; Bio-based Plastic, 25×23x70 Inches

Rodin’s The Age of Bronze is a landmark in sculptural history, marking a shift from traditional depictions of high society, religious figures, and Greek mythology to the common individual as a subject of fine art. Before Rodin, sculpture largely served to idealize power, divinity, or myth, but with The Age of Bronze, he introduced a humanized and emotionally raw representation, reshaping the artistic landscape.

By recreating this seminal work using contemporary technology and materials, I question how contemporary art will be perceived in the future and whether its meaning will remain fixed over time. This process serves as a metaphor for cultural transformation, highlighting the fragility of artistic legacy and the impermanence of societal values. Just as Rodin redefined sculpture in his time, this reinterpretation encourages viewers to reflect on how art evolves, how history is preserved or reimagined, and what remains as artistic movements shift.

Through this homage, I seek to bridge the past and present, demonstrating that art is never static but instead constantly reshaped by technology, materials, and cultural reinterpretation.
